Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul songwriter and singer. In addition to receiving a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she is also nominated for the winner of an Academy Award. Andra Days is an impressive artist who also writes beautifully. Not only is she an expert in the throwback genre of R&B but her roots are gospel jazz and blues. The album she released her debut Cheers to the Autumn (2015), was a smash record in the hiphop/R&B genre and led to a number of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017) Her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack, earned her both awards. Amen and the singles Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday All three singles are making fans wait for the arrival of her second album. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts and performed at church. When she left the School of Creative and Performing Arts, Day started to concentrate on modern R&B and pop, but she soon discovered that her soulful jazz influences were the ones she was attracted to. Kai Millard Morris caught her show and offered the music of Day to Stevie Wonder. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the seasoned music businessman. Allied to Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day gained a large YouTube following and eventually signed to major label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day dropped her first single Forever Mine on YouTube. The song quickly taken up and played in radio stations by a variety of DJs. After signing with Warner Bros. Records, she began to work with producer Adrian Gurvitz for their debut record "Cheers to the fall" (2015). It featured the track Rise Up which is now a worldwide song of the social justice movement. Day was nominated to win two Grammy Awards, which included Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album on the famous jazz musician's life and career, came out in 2019. The following year she starred on screen in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), which is a biopic about Holiday's life. Andi Mattichak was an American actor. She made her television debut in series like 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut as Allyson Nelson on the horror film series Halloween as well as its sequels. Andi matichak was an American actor who was born in Framingham on the 3rd of May 1994.
